Staffing agency time tracking
Staffing agency time tracking for field labor, one record behind every invoice.
Staffing agency time tracking has to settle one question before anyone asks it: how many hours did this worker spend at the client's site. ZeroBadge gives each placed worker a badge the agency owns. Power on starts the shift, each report lands at the client site you drew, and power off ends it. The agency's office, the worker's pay and the client's invoice all trace back to the same weekly record.
- A record the agency owns, not the client's
- One timesheet across several placements
- One month or more of battery life*
*Under qualifying operating conditions. Battery life varies with reporting frequency, signal conditions, usage, and configuration.

What ZeroBadge does for you
How ZeroBadge helps staffing agencies
One company badge per worker covers safety alerts, timekeeping, labor analytics and ZeroBadge AI. Here is what each part does in your line of work.
01
Worker safety
A temporary worker placed at a client's site can press the alert button or SOS, and the agency dashboard shows which placement it came from.
Learn more02
Workforce management
See which workers are at which client placements, and spot a no-show on the first morning before the client calls to ask where the crew is.
Learn more03
Automated timekeeping
A placement is a location, and a worker who changes clients mid-week keeps one timesheet with hours split by client for the invoice and for pay.
Learn more04
Workforce productivity
Compare hours billed with hours recorded for each client and see where a half hour a day adds up across a twenty-person placement.
Learn more05
Location analytics
GPS outdoors and Wi-Fi positioning indoors place each worker at the client site you drew, and the badge is off between shifts.
Learn more06
Field logistics
Balance placements across clients with the record of who worked where, so a coordinator can see which placements are staffed and which are short.
Learn more07
AI advisory and analytics
Ask which client placements logged the most overtime last week and get an answer from your own records, with each number linked to the shifts behind it.

Safety alerts support your safety program. They do not replace supervision or training, ZeroBadge does not monitor alerts or contact 911, and in an emergency workers should call 911.
Where billed hours get argued
Three parties describe the same week, and none of them wrote it down the same way.
An agency pays the worker, bills the client and sends the labor to a site it does not control. Each side keeps its own count of the hours.
The client's number is lower than yours
The client's supervisor initials a sheet, or the client's gate log shows an arrival. You billed from the worker's own entries. The difference is a few minutes a day, and it arrives as a short-pay on the invoice.
Placements change in the middle of the week
A laborer works Monday and Tuesday for one contractor and Wednesday through Friday for another. Two clients, two sheets, one weekly pay run, and an overtime question that depends on adding both.
New names every Monday
Agency labor turns over fast. A worker who starts Tuesday has no history on the client's side, and a worker who stops showing up on Thursday has hours you still have to bill.
Sign-off that lags the work
The client's supervisor signs on Friday afternoon, or the next week, or not at all. The agency's invoice goes out on its own schedule and carries whatever the worker wrote.
The worker's own question
A worker who says the paycheck is short has only a memory to point to, and so does the coordinator answering the call.
Placements that move
A placement is a location. A worker who changes clients keeps one timesheet.
Draw each client's site from its address when the placement starts. The badge goes with the worker, so when the assignment changes on Wednesday nothing is set up again: the hours simply start landing at the next site.
The example company in this view is a construction contractor moving crews between jobsites. An agency's roster moves between clients the same way, and each client's hours reach your office already separated.

Phone app or kiosk?
How is this different from a phone app or a kiosk at the client's site?
A kiosk belongs to the client's site and a phone app belongs to the worker. The badge belongs to the agency, which is the party that has to defend the number.
A kiosk at the client's site
The client owns the wall, and a client with its own timekeeping system is unlikely to host yours. A worker placed with three clients in a month would need three clocks. The badge needs no installation anywhere.
A phone app
Short placements and fast turnover mean installing an app and a login on a personal phone for someone who may leave Friday. Some workers will refuse, and the agency cannot insist. The badge needs no phone, app or login.
The client's own record
A client's gate log or supervisor sheet is the client's number. A badge record is yours, made as the shift happened, so your invoice does not depend on theirs.
The honest tradeoff
A badge has to be handed out, charged and collected, and a worker who leaves without returning it has to be marked lost. Some client sites also limit devices in certain areas. A phone avoids the hand-off, but only if the worker agrees to use it.
How an agency runs it
What your coordinators and payroll team will ask.
Moving a worker between placements
Both clients are locations in the same account. The worker keeps the badge and the weekly timesheet shows each client's hours on its own lines, with the drive between them kept separate.
Reassigning a badge
When a placement ends, the office reassigns the badge to the next worker. Hours belong to the person the badge was assigned to when they were recorded.
Who approves
The agency's office reviews the exceptions list and approves the week. A client supervisor's sign-off, if you collect one, happens on the exported sheet outside ZeroBadge. Approved hours are then sent to your payroll provider.
Overtime across clients
Hours add up per worker across every placement, so overtime shows on the day it happens, not after the second client's sheet arrives.
What the worker sees
The optional worker web portal shows a person their own hours, lets them request a correction and record time off. Tracking runs only during paid shifts, on a company-owned badge that is powered off in between.
Where it does not fit
ZeroBadge is built for field labor that moves between sites, starting with construction. A temp on a fixed shift who punches in at one building is better served by that building's own clock.

ZeroBadge AI
Ask ZeroBadge AI about your placements
Ask in your own words. ZeroBadge AI reads only your company's records and links each number to its source.
You ask
Which client placements logged the most overtime last week?
Northgate Distribution logged 64 overtime hours across 20 workers, ahead of Cedar Logistics at 22. Hours are split by client and linked to shifts.
You ask
How many workers had not badged on for their first day yesterday?
Three of 18 new placements had no shift by 7:30 AM, all at Cedar Logistics. The list shows each worker and their placement.
You ask
How many hours did one worker record across two clients this week?
One worker logged 14 hours at Northgate and 26 at Cedar on a single timesheet, so each client's hours can be reviewed from the same record.
Answers come only from your company's own records. Every number links to the records behind it. Read-only; admins control access.
